Business VoIP Saves Travel, IT “Consumable Material”

If you’re a small business, odds are good that you want to be able to communicate and collaborate efficiently, and would like to find less expensive but more reliable ways of doing so.

And for businesses with multiple office locations and consumer bases spanning the globe, well, it just gets more intense – as steady access to tools and reliable communications mediums is pretty much an essential element for survival.

In both cases, companies would do well to look into VoIP.

“Making the decision to migrate to VoIP allows small businesses to merge their most pertinent communications processes – e-mail, voice mail, fax, telephony, and conferencing — into one complete and comprehensive platform,” says Nextiva officials.

They’re right. In fact, there are obvious cost benefits associated with turning to the Internet to transmit both voice and data communications – “nearly all of the businesses currently operating on an IP telephony platform have reported a fiscal savings exceeding 60 percent on telecommunications services alone. Other areas of savings include travel, IT and consumable material,” Nextiva officials add.

Yes, Nextiva’s in this line of work – the Nextiva Connect 360 is a digital phone for any type of business. It’s described by company officials as “flexible enough to handle the growth of any company, and to get started all you need is a high-speed Internet connection.”

In a recent TMC podcast, Nextiva’s Yaniv Masjedi said that phones are an integral part of businesses today and that, “no business can afford to have low quality phone service.” As a result, Masjedi said, Nextiva is, “big on making sure that not only all calls connect, but also that they sound as if you’re speaking to the other person face-to-face.”

VoIP also gives users the ability to provide a flexible and fully functioning workspace, reaching beyond the traditional confinements of the office, as well as the ability to maximize the access to information, leading to improvements in communication.

Switching to VoIP is keeping pace with technological advancements, and it could be giving the small business a competitive edge, as well as the ability to streamline processes, “permitting employees quick access to necessary information.
